Join Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness director Paul Danicic for a fun and informative slide show on the epic Canoe the Heart voyage on September 23 at Midwest Mountaineering in Minneapolis.

Tim Eaton sent along this extensive trip report and photos from his experience paddling with the Canoe the Heart voyage on Leg C, from Crane Lake to Fall Lake along the Border Route.

Rich Kelley, the chair of the Heart of the Continent Partnership steering committee, wrote the following letter thanking the participants and supporters of the Canoe the Heart centennial expedition.

Lisa Pattni of the Superior National Forest provided some great photos from a couple of the events that were held along the route of the Canoe the Heart expedition.

Paddler Tim Eaton shared a detailed trip report and photos about the expedition’s trip through Voyageurs National Park’s Kabetogama, Namakan and Crane Lakes.

Paddler Kate Logan wrote this report about her experiences paddling along on Leg C of the Canoe the Heart Expedition. She found that it was an experience unlike ordinary canoe trips.

A “Canoe the Heart” event at the Fall Lake Campground near Ely will feature fun celebrations and presentations of the expedition and the centennials of the Superior National Forest and Quetico Provincial Park.
